For more information, we invite you to read our About Us page.
What communities does Duane Johnson Real Estate serve?
We are the only office to exclusively serve the Cannon Beach, Arch Cape, and Cove Beach/Falcon Cove communities.
Does Duane Johnson Real Estate cooperate with other real estate companies?
Yes, we have great relationships with all local real estate companies. What this translates to is that we show their listings and they can show ours.
How can I view a for sale property?
Call, email or write us (see our Contact Us page). We will be happy to arrange a private showing at your convenience. Some properties can require 24 hours notice prior to showing or be in a vacation rental pool so we encourage you to call ahead to make sure they are available to see. We also recommend that you try to limit the number of homes you'll be viewing to 3-4 at a time so that features don't become to jumbled together later on. And remember, we're able to show you listings from any real estate company in town as well as our own.
How do I make an offer on a home or property?
Congratulations! If you've made it to the point where you'd like to make an offer on a property we're excited to walk you through the stages and possible outcomes. Assuming you are working with a Broker already we simply encourage you to ask as many questions as you can think of. With over 75 years of combined local real estate experience, if our Brokers don't have the answer we know where to find it quickly.
How do I list a property or receive a Market Estimate for my property?
Call, email or write us (see our Contact Us page). Providing a Market Estimate is a complimentary service and we are pleased to serve you in this way. Market Estimates are a great place to start if you are considering selling. They can also be very useful in estate planning or just to satisfy curiousity if you haven't checked your properties estimated worth in some time.
What is so special about Cannon Beach?
Where to begin! For many years Cannon Beach has been widely publicized as a top U.S. beach destination through well known and respected media such as MSN and, most recently, The Wall Street Journal. Home to Haystack Rock, a 265 foot tall free-standing monolith and the 3rd largest of its kind in the world, Cannon Beach boasts 4 miles of pristine beach enjoyable at all tides and times (except perhaps during some of our famed winter storms!). Maintained by a local year round population of approximately 1700 souls, our community is a frequent and favorite Northwest destination for day-trippers, weekend get-a-ways, and week+ vacations. Cannon Beach features many fine galleries, shops and dining establishments for many tastes. You can preview a more elaborate sample of local activities and interests at the Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce website, or through locally organized Cannon Beach.net.
Where is Arch Cape?
Arch Cape is a small, primarily residential community located approximately 7 miles south of Cannon Beach. Covering approximately 1 mile of beach, most of the 350 homes in this community are located within a 1-2 block stretch between Hwy 101 and the sand. However there are also many beautiful homes (and vacant lots), some with ocean views & some in a more natural, wooded setting east of the highway. Local business establishments include the Arch Cape Deli, the Arch Cape Inn, and Bernards Bed & Breakfast.
Where is the beach?
As silly as the question may sound, we hear it too often to be ignored! As always, the beach is to the west. More importantly it is only a short walk from just about any property in town.
Where is beach access?
Beach access is readily available from most street ends. Two sets of publicly maintained stairs access the sand in front of Haystack Rock.
